Judgment was released in the matter of our client, R.H., heard in Newmarket. Our client's girlfriend alleged a very serious assault, the occurrence of which, we stated, was nonexistent. In cross-examination, the girlfriend was inconsistent, argumentative and evasive. We pointed out that her evidence was not worthy of belief and that the medical reports did not show injuries consistent with her testimony. The trial judge agreed and our client was acquitted.
