Our client, a restaurant/bar, was the subject of an inspector's report alleging infractions of the Liquor Licence Act, and its Regulations to wit: service outside of prescribed hours; failure to clear signs of service/consumption; obstruct inspector. Upon considering Lorne Sabsay's detailed submissions and investigation in the matter, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario elected not to seek any administrative action in relation to these incidents. The result of considered legal advocacy at the outset not only saved our client the possibility of a monetary penalty, licence suspension, or revocation, but tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees.
